Century
Regional Detention Facility (CRDF) General InformationThe Lynwood Jail, also known as the Century Regional Detention Facility, serves as LA
County’s main Women’s Jail. Women arrested throughout Los Angeles County
are generally taken or transferred to the Lynwood Jail.
The facility has housed some notable celebrities, such as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Heidi Fleiss. Jail Marriages
Before a jail marriage can be performed at Lynwood the marriage packet but be signed and notarized by the inmate.
Once the marriage license is purchased a written request along with a
copy of the marriage license must be faxed to the unit commander so that
a background check can be performed. Based on the results of a
background check
the unit commander will either approve or deny the request.
Once the request is approved the unit commander will contact the fiancée letting her know when the marriage can be performed. The marriage is performed on a visiting day over the phone, there are no special provisions made for jail weddings.

Notarizations are performed Saturday - Tuesday 8:30 A.M. -4:30 P.M.
and Wednesday - Friday 09:15 A.M. - 11:30 P.M. ; 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
